Ekoï called on the best aero specialists to obtain one of the fastest helmets in the world. Months of research and development were necessary to finalize the aero profile of this new model.

Developed in close collaboration with professional riders from the Israel Premier-Tech and Lotto-Dstny teams, including Caleb Ewan, the helmet has already enabled (in its prototype version) the latter to obtain a victory in the sprint.

Protection

The reason for and first priority of a helmet is protection . The Ekoï AERODINAMICA helmet has received special attention to offer the cyclist much more than standard protection.

In collaboration with the company KOROYD® , the structure of the helmet has been reinforced with the insertion of nanotube plates in the most exposed areas (front and side). Heat-welded together, they have a honeycomb shape. And it is precisely this lightweight honeycomb construction, devoid of weak points , which makes it possible to absorb 30% more energy compared to a standard EPS during an impact.

Another major advantage of KOROYD® technology : this high-quality technical polymer is not affected by variations in outside temperature . Its superior absorption properties remain stable unlike those of standard EPS which will tend to “soften” when it is hot and become hard and brittle when it is cold. The cyclist therefore benefits from an optimal level of protection , whatever the mercury level.

Design

PININFARINA : a brand, a worldwide reputation , a signature. For the first time in its prestigious history, the Italian designer puts his label on a bicycle helmet . The stroke of the pencil brought the helmet to life, then modeled in 3D.

The result is a “bodywork” with an aero curve and a sleek profile, designed exclusively for speed .

The grille (front) has three thin vents that match the shape of the helmet and are perfectly oriented to guide the airflow .

The rear is distinguished by an air extractor (or “diffuser”) with a vaulted architecture. This houses a low-profile X intended to optimize the aerodynamic properties of the helmet as well as ventilation .

In its black and red dress, the helmet gives pride of place to elegance and sobriety in a very classy spirit.
