Intended primarily for professional riders, the Ekoï Road C12 Proteam shoe combines a very high level of performance with essential comfort given the intensive use. It is the result of more than three years of research and development in close collaboration with professional cyclists close to EKOÏ . The shoe is a very sensitive product for a professional rider and it must be as close to perfection as possible. To achieve this objective, this new flagship of the EKOÏ racing range relies on three strengths:

 

FULL REAL CARBON SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE EKOÏ GEOMETRY FOR MAXIMUM POWER TRANSFER

In order to meet the very high demands of professional riders for power transfer, the Ekoï research and development department has designed and developed a completely new sole for the Road C12 Proteam, unique in its composition in an exclusive carbon and in its shape.

In terms of material, it is entirely composed of braided carbon (Ekoï full real Carbon concept). The result: a radical rigidity/lightness combo, demanded by professional cyclists. In terms of geometry, our engineers have worked on the inner arch of the shoe to reinforce the support of the foot and maximize explosiveness. In order to offer an optimal transfer of watts, Ekoï has developed a system of cleat graduations that allows for precise and repeatable adjustment. At equal power, a cyclist well “wedged” with the Ekoï Road C12 proteam shoes will make the difference.

EXCLUSIVE EKOÏ WRAPAROUND CONSTRUCTION: ABSOLUTE SUPPORT AND COMFORT

To meet the first point of the pros' specifications, namely an ultra-high-performance shoe that is comfortable to wear, our engineers have created an exclusive architecture. This adopts a very enveloping profile that eliminates any pressure point and provides a "slipper" effect. The BOA® Fit System with Dual-Dial Li2 and its performance fit wrap concept perfects the envelopment of the foot, which is maintained without any discomfort or pain. The runner can then deploy all his strength comfortably.

It is also with this in mind that the shoe volume has been worked on: the shoe is very close to the foot while offering enough space at the front for long distances and in hot conditions. This uncompromising comfort/support contributes to optimizing performance. A durable material, leather contributes to the comfort of the shoe thanks to its natural flexibility and breathability.

Designed to be used a lot in racing, the Ekoï Road C12 proteam are equipped with an Ortholite® insole. Thanks to its open-cell X40 foam, it creates a cool, dry and healthy environment for the feet. Its density and rebound performance guarantee maximum shock absorption over time without compromising on thrust performance. The 100% racing profile of this model is completed by the Michelin® pads at the non-slip and durable heel as well as the front foot protection.

BOA® MICROMETRIC TIGHTENING AND MICROMETRIC LOOSENING: FOR TAILOR-MADE TENSION AT ALL TIMES

When racing, runners need to vary the tightening depending on whether they are climbing, sprinting or descending. That's why Ekoï chose the BOA Fit System with Dual-Dial Li2. The latter allows multidirectional adjustments to tighten and loosen easily and intuitively. The aluminum discs offer optimal grip and unprecedented durability as well as high resistance to impacts, abrasion and dust. The zone tightening allows independent management of the tension (top and bottom of the foot) and promotes a personalized fit over the kilometers.
